Tripartite reviews

Over the course of your apprenticeship with us, you will take part in 4 online Tripartite Reviews (TPR).

Tripartite reviews provide an important opportunity for you to meet with members of the apprenticeship team (one administrative and one academic), often with your mentor when appropriate, to discuss key areas around your progress and development.

Whilst it is a formal, documented meeting, we ensure they are done in a friendly and open manner which is all focused on support and encouragement for the apprentice and our hopes to ensure they are as successful as possible on the programme.

In these meetings, a number of things will happen.

The apprenticeship team will:

-          check in with apprentice about their understanding, enjoyment, well-being and general course experience

-          discuss assignments where appropriate

-          review your key documents (learning log and KSVB tracker)

-          check you are receiving your off-the-job hours and are on track to meet the minimum requirement

-          provide feedback and guidance on the use of the documents and the appropriate OTJ activities being undertaken

-          provide feedback on the evidence collated

-          help provide clarity and guidance on standards that may be unclear

-          help provide suggestions on standards where the apprentice is finding opportunities difficult to find

-          identify any support needs that arise and signpost/guide apprentice towards the next steps to take

-          help develop targets for apprentices to work towards for next TPR

We ask the apprentice to:

-          book in TPR as soon as you possibly can and keep in communication if issues arise that require rescheduling

-          ensure documents (learning log and KSVB tracker) are made available in your relevant Sharepoint folder

-          keep learning log OTJ hours up to date – this will avoid you being flagged for engagement issues

-          keep tracker as up to date as possible – the more you provide the team to review, the more useful your feedback will be!

-          Make workplace targets, normally with support of mentor

-          Ask questions where you are unclear

-          Ask for help when you need it

For the last two points, we stress that you do NOT need to wait until TPR to raise any questions or issues. You are able to reach out to us at any time via email or in-person and recommend you do that, rather then wait.
