Learning log
Learning log
The learning log is an important document that allows you to record and monitor your off the job (OTJ) activities.
It is VITAL you keep this document as up to date as possible.
This document (and your KSVB tracker) will be looked at in detail at each of your Tripartite reviews and you will be given feedback on them. If they are not up to date, you will be at risk of being flagged and suitable interventions put in place.
You are expected to meet the minimum requirements of 362 hours over the year and this should be spread out across the weeks. This means on average you will be logging around 7hr OTJ per week.
This spread does allow for you to take annual leave and provides scope should any unexpected disruptions occur such as illness to allow you to still meet the requirements. But should you be able to undertake more than the minimum hours, you will likely be in a stronger position as we head towards the end of the year.
The video below talks you through filling in your learning log.
You will also revisit it regularly in each of the learning sessions in the upcoming weeks.
