Support Links
We understand that you may need some extra support from time to time and the Apprenticeship team is always on hand to help in whichever way we can. But in addition to the team, here at QMUL, we have an abundance of wider support available, whatever your situation may be.
Below are some key contacts and links that you may find useful over the course of your time with us.
Personal support – If you find yourself in a difficult personal situation, we encourage you to reach out to the Apprenticeship team firstly for help. But if that is not possible, there are a number of contacts you can reach out to for support.
The IHSE Student support team offers confidential help and guidance for personal, academic, or health-related issues, ensuring students feel supported throughout their studies.
Advice and Counselling Service
QMUL's Advice and Counselling Service provides free, confidential support on mental health, wellbeing, money, immigration, and personal concerns, with trained advisers and therapists available.
Academic skills support – We recognise studying at a postgraduate level can often feel daunting. It may have been a while since you last studied or you may feel you wish to refresh your academic writing skills. The University offers a number of places to access guidance, support and advice that you may wish to engage with at the start of the programme, or at any point during it.
The Academic Skills Centre helps students develop key academic abilities—such as writing, referencing, and critical thinking—through workshops, resources, and 1-to-1 appointments.
Studiosity is an online platform offering 24/7 access to writing feedback and live chat with academic tutors, helping students improve assignments and study skills anytime.
QM Elevate offers free, non-credit modules to help all students improve academic writing, critical reading, and communication skills. The programme also builds confidence for university success and future career readiness.
