According to the last Botswana family health survey (BFHS), approximately 94% of women receive Antenatal Care (ANC). The distribution by place of residence shows that attendance is lowest in rural settings. The same trend was reported for facility based births where almost 100% facility births were reported in cities as opposed to 90% in rural areas.
