How to succeed at Assessment Centre's (Mock Group Activity), 27th November, 12:30-2 pm

Learn what to expect from assessment centres, as we explore what they entail and how you're assessed. In this engaging session, we'll primarily be focusing on group activities, what they're assessing, how they're assessed and how to 'stand out.'

Acing Your CV and Applications, 30th November, 1-2 pm

A breakdown of popular recruitment processes and how you as a candidate can best succeed in them when applying for positions, this session covers what actual skills employers want to see, and how you can articulate your top skills in your CV. We will also cover our top tips of the trade, and a series of activities to support you in playing the recruitment 'game'.

Women at the Commercial Bar
One Essex Court is a leading set of barristers’ Chambers, specialising in commercial litigation and arbitration. Our work embraces all aspects of domestic and international trade, commerce and finance.
The Chamber is now offering the following opportunities with One Essex Court to aspiring barristers in the 2023/2024 academic year: 

·         Career clinics: 24 November 2023 and 1 December 2023 (via Zoom).

The career clinics will provide an opportunity for a 20-minute confidential chat with a female member of chambers, to discuss any issue around applying to or working at the Commercial Bar.

·         Pupillage Applications Workshop: 19 January 2024 (via Zoom).

This workshop will focus on how to present yourself to best advantage in pupillage application forms. Attendees will have the opportunity to listen to a talk, participate in a practical exercise where there will be an opportunity for individual feedback, and ask questions during a Q&A session.

·         Pupillage Interviews Workshop: 23 February 2024 (via Zoom).

This workshop will focus on how to prepare for and perform pupillage interviews. Attendees will have the opportunity to listen to a talk, participate in a practical exercise where there will be an opportunity for individual feedback, and ask questions during a Q&A session.

Policy Associate with Queen Mary Global Policy Institute (QMGPI) and Mile End Institute (MEI)
