Where will your Masters take you?  Career Discussions with Caroline, History Careers Consultant, are available all afternoon on Wednesday 13th & Thursday 14th March - call Careers Reception on 020 7882 8533 to book and come and discuss 'what next'.  If these times do not work for you, you can see any of the Careers Consultant team at a time that works for you - in person, on the phone, or by Skype.

 In conversation with Oliver Kent, 12th March, Harold Pinter Studio, Arts 1, 6.30 – 8.00pm

Do you want to work or progress your career in TV drama? Wondering how to get in and what roles are available?  Come and find out answers to these questions and more from the hugely successful Oliver Kent, outgoing Head of BBC Drama. Oliver will demystify the television industry, explain what work you could do and how to navigate the different opportunities. He will draw from his experience overseeing all five continuing drama shows for BBC Studio’s portfolio - EastEnders, Holby City, Casualty, Doctors and River City -   after graduating from QM in French and Drama.

Freelance series: Freelancers Panel event

 This event brings together freelancers from different industries to discuss their careers, the challenges they have met, the success they had and their top tips to be a successful freelancer.

Our panellists are:

Bob Payne (QMUL SBM Alum). Bob is now director of 2 music companies after being a freelance musician for 10 years. Performance highlights include Channel 4's Hollyoaks, Don't Tell The Bride, Good Omens and BBC Radio.

Adrian Gierakowski, (QMUL EECS Alum). Since 2015, Adrian has been a freelance software developer for companies such asLoopcast, Feeld and AGMD Consulting ltd.

Tapiwa Matsinde, an author, publisher, curator, specialising in African design and creativity. She is the author of Contemporary Design Africa, and the founder of the Atelier Fifty Five a platform that spotlight Africa’s design, and Shoko Press, an independent publisher of art books about contemporary African creativity.
