If full time students need a break in researching & writing their dissertation, or indeed if part time students have some free time having completed assignments, there is an opportunity to take part in a workshop to explore & understand your strengths... see below.

The first of these workshops is TOMORROW but the workshop will be repeated on 7th June:

Explore your strengths and how to communicate them

The Careers & Enterprise team are running two workshops to help you learn more about your personal strengths and how you can communicate them in applications and at interview.
If you would like to attend, you have a choice of two dates:
·        Thursday 1st June, 3pm-5pm in Arts Two, Room 2.17
·        Wednesday 7th June, 2-4pm in the Graduate Centre, Room 222

Having a better sense of your Strengths could help you to stand out to employers both in applications and interviews, enabling you to link relevant strengths to the requirements of the role.

During this workshop you will complete a card sort activity designed to help you to identify your unique personal strengths and weaknesses. You will understand how to gather evidence to support your strengths. You will practice answering strengths-based interview questions and learn how to identify strengths that are relevant for roles for which you are applying. This will help to give you a competitive advantage in the recruitment and selection process.

By the end of the workshop you will have:
·        Knowledge of your unique strengths-what you are good at and enjoy
·        The ability to provide evidence to support them
·        An understanding of strengths-based interview questions and how to respond to them authentically
·        Your weaknesses and how to deal with these

For the workshop on Thursday 1st June (TOMORROW!),
For the workshop on Wednesday 7th June,
