The module outlines provide additional background on the subject and should be read along with the Liberal Arts Final Year Module Directory List 2024-25.

The module outlines below are a general overview and so changes to information, content, timetable, assessment etc. are likely to be made for the 2024-25 academic year. Not all modules listed below will be available in 2024-25, as module provision changes each year.

If a general overview isn't available here, please go to the central QMUL Module Directory, where you can search for the module you are interested in and find additional information there.

1. Adding a module you have already selected will result in a pop-up alert to prevent duplicates. Please select another module from the list.

2. Adding a module you have already taken in a previous year will result in a similar alert. You cannot take a module you have already completed, even if under a different code, so please select another module.

3. If the number of credits for any pot or block are incorrect when you attempt to submit your main module selection, you will see a warning directing you to the error. Close the warning box and find the red x indicating an error (see examples).

In the example below, the red x indicates that total number of credits from this block is too high, even if the requirements for the individual pots are met. Please remove one or more modules from your main selection. The programme below has a 15-credit compulsory modules, so only 105 credits of elective modules should be submitted.

In the example below, the red x indicates that not enough modules were selected from one of the pots (60 instead of the minimum of 75), even though the total number of credits for the submission is correct. Please remove a module from a different pot and add another module from the pot marked with x.

4. Once you reach the maximum number of credits allowed for a particular pot, you are no longer able to add modules from that pot. Note that the same module might be available in different pots, so try to find your preferred module in another appropriate pot.

5. You must submit exactly the required number of credits from each pot for your reserve options, and will be warned if you attempt to submit an incorrect number of credits in any pot. Please remove or add modules as necessary to be able to finalise your submission.
