Removing the video element

Removing the Video Element from an EchoVideo (Q-Review) Recording [edit]

By default, EchoVideo (Q-Review) recordings capture:

  • Video
  • Presentation content (such as slides, a laptop screen, or a document camera)
  • Audio

If you do not want the video element to appear in a recording, you can remove it using the Media Editor.

Remove the Video Channel

  1. Log in to EchoVideo (Q-Review) through QMplus.
  2. Locate the recording you want to edit.
    • The recording may be in your Library or within a course section.
  3. Open the recording and select the Media Editor icon from the left-hand menu

4. In the Media Editor, the recording timeline will appear with the available media channels displayed beneath it.

5. Next to the Video channel, click the ellipsis (⋯) menu.
6. Select Remove Channel.

Save Your Changes

After removing the video channel, choose one of the following options:

  • Save – Applies the changes to the original recording.
  • Save As – Creates a new copy of the recording with the changes applied, leaving the original unchanged.

If you exit the editor without saving, your edits remain within the editor but are not applied to the published recording.

Additional Editing Options

Before saving, you can also:

  • Undo or Redo changes.
  • Revert to Original to discard all edits and return to the original recording.
  • Continue making other edits using the Media Editor.

This allows you to review your changes before deciding whether to update the original recording or create a new version.
