Garance-

“Now, Roland, sound the horn” said Olivier,

“With the force of your breath Charles the valiant will come and the pagans will be defeated.”

“Olivier, you are too wise and your honour is too frail” said Roland

“It is my duty to accomplish this mission and to make my uncle proud

Thus by my courage, I shall be a noble vassal, perhaps the best of fair France.

We can count on our dear Durendal and his determination to kill all pagans.

Our army will triumph, it is like the mighty Charles, proud, powerful and bold.

God willing, we will defeat these barbarians and before long, Charles will bless his barons.”

Gerard Leo:

Said Oliver: “Blow your oliphant, Roland,

For the pagans have a huge army,

Charles will hear it and the army will come back”.

Roland replies: “May it never please God,

Such a foolish thing, for my reputation in France would be lost.

Sooner than later, Durendal will be drawing rivers of blood.

Our army is brave and its honor is incorrupt.

I swear, dear Oliver, death will come upon these Saracens

And we will feast on their fate”.

Randhi -

Oliver pleads: 'Roland, friend, blow your oliphant.

Charles will hear it and make the army save us'

'Save us?' Roland retorts ' From treacherous battle yes, but not

from cowardice!

Heaven forbid that I shall tremble beneath these

foul pagans or relinquish my duties.

To blow this horn is to admit defeat and renounce my honour.

To bathe this blade with their blood instead is valiance,

for I swear to you, they are all fated to die!'

Shelby:

"Roland, companion, blow your Oliphant" says Oliver.

"The size of our army cannot compare

Charles will receive our message well and send help".

Roland responds in dismay: " I shall fight for as long as it takes

Durendal's blade will be coated with blood

My sword shall be a symbol of my might

These treacherous pagans will be full of regret

I give you a promise, death is all they will face".

Anisha:

Thus speaks Oliver “companion Roland, alas you shall blow your oliphant,

Surely Charles will return upon your signal,

Only under your leadership, shall we be victorious among the pagans”

Roland speaks “my family shall forever feel pride for my actions, and so

I must continue, I must battle.

Let my sword be coloured in the crimson gore of my enemy’s blood,

Our army will emerge, the thirst for my dead enemy, calls for me

Once over, the French will be joyous; the enemy vanquished.

Oliver said “Blow your oliphant Roland

Charles will hear the sound and return,

With you leading we will defeat the pagans”

Roland said “ I want my family to be proud,

Therefore I need to complete this duty, and go to battle.

My sword will be covered in the blood of the enemy,

Our army will win, death of the enemy is inevitable.

Once completed the French will be honored, while the enemy defeated.
