Great news but Ghana has just introduced a mass vaccination programme with an external financier.Dont know how that will work along the GAVI programme http://edition.myjoyonline.com/pages/news/201301/100657.php

Hi Richard, i dont think there is need to worry about the ongoing massive immunization in Ghana. Both the Ghanaian Governement and the GAVI Alliance team shares thesame objective of total prevention of cervical cancer in Ghana and i am sure there would be a well coordinated integration of the GAVI team into the Ghanaian system. Trust Ghana!

So Richard, have a relaxed mind all is well.

Big announcement indeed! I don't only love the action because of its target on developing countries but the height of this philantropic and humanitarian services of mankind to mankind.

On a second thought, if i could be answered; what informs their country of choice? is it prevalence or other undisclosed criterion?

This indeed is a big announcement. kudos to seth Berkley and team.

Thanks George for the information.
