Dear tragedizers,

Next week we'll be concluding our work on Ibsen's Ghosts, and beginning to look at Lorca's Blood Wedding.

The Monday session (17 March) will be a structured discussion, in which a 19th-century Norwegian censorship committee will be interviewing expert witnesses about Ghosts. The briefs for each team are here. Team members are:

  • Theatrical Censorship Committee: Dorra, Muna
  • Henrik Ibsen: Aqsa, Masha, Cameron
  • Erik Bøgh: Keira, Levi
  • August Lindberg: Nia, Malina
  • Edvard Bull: Hana, Max

The briefs include links to brief details of some of the individuals you'll be representing - these are just for background information, in case you're interested. Each witness will each have a five-minute statement to prepare. As ever, you'll have five minutes to confer as a team at the beginning of the seminar, so feel free to liaise with each other in advance if you want to share out the preparation.

Thursday's session (20 March) will be an introductory lecture on Blood Wedding.

See you this Thursday for some close reading of passages from Ghosts. As a reminder: you'll find the brief here, and this announcement indicates who's working on which passage.

Best wishes,

Adrian
