How it works?
You will have the opportunity to work for an employer on a flexible, part-time basis for 40 hours over five weeks. As part of the programme, you will attend two career training sessions delivered by a Queen Mary careers consultant, one at the beginning and one at the end of your micro-internship. Training sessions are compulsory and focus on professional etiquette, how to make the most out of your internship and how to identify what skills you have developed. You will also have support from a Queen Mary internship team supervisor throughout the programme.
Each micro-internship is unique, but you can expect to experience what it is like to work in a professional environment and learn how to apply certain academic skills, such as research, analytical, and communication skills, to a real-life scenario. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain work experience and add it to your CV while studying.
