Total hours will be between 35-40 hours

The Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS) invites expressions of interest from current PhD or LLM students for the position of Research Assistant on a British Academy Small Grant-funded project titled, "What Makes a Successful Private-Public Partnership in the Insurance Context?" The selected candidate will work under the guidance of Professor Miriam Goldby and Dr. Franziska Arnold-Dwyer. The primary responsibility will be to review, update, and ensure consistency in the footnotes of a draft research paper. Additional tasks may include conducting targeted searches and compiling a Further References Annotated Bibliography.

This is a part-time, paid position with competitive remuneration. The hourly rate is £20.04 for LLM students (Spinal Point 25), £20.91 for PhD students (Spinal Point 27) and £22.04 for post-doctoral researchers (Spinal Point 29).

Responsibilities:

1.      Participate in an initial meeting with supervising academics to establish the project's work agenda.

2.      Hold regular meetings with the academic supervisors to provide progress updates and address any issues that may arise.

3.      Consistently produce draft work on time, submit it to the supervising academics for feedback, and promptly incorporate any feedback received.

4.      Track hours worked and prepare timesheets as required.

Knowledge or experience in public-private partnerships, insurance law, or financial law is advantageous. While the successful candidate will be based at CCLS, remote work arrangements may be considered.
