We are looking for an enthusiastic Data Science Intern to join our journey in transforming data into actionable insights.
The Role:
As a Data Science Intern at Privacy Culture, you will collaborate with our Product & Engineering team, including other data platform engineers and direct contact with our CTO - to contribute to the development and implementation of cutting-edge data models and algorithms. Our Large Language Model is in Private Beta with a number of large global companies, and you will provide support on the inputs and outputs of the model – helping ensure safe AI guardrails are in place and the quality of output is high. You will also need to be a data all-rounder, supporting various data-related workflows, including survey data, business operations data, and the data model of our Horizon platform. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in applying data science and LLM techniques across various projects, enhancing your skills, and making a tangible impact on our operations and product offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of machine learning models, data-driven solutions and 3rd party LLMs.
- Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and exploratory analysis to uncover valuable insights from complex datasets.
- Contribute to the enhancement of our data pipelines and the optimization of data collection strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and develop technical solutions that address these issues.
- Stay updated with the latest data science trends, techniques, and technologies to continuously improve our practices and outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input on project progress, findings, and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data modeling.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data insights in a clear and understandable manner.
- A keen interest in learning and applying new technologies and methodologies in the field of data science.
- LLM skills such as:
- Prompt engineering
- RAG methods including langchain
- Fine-tuning
- Human-in-the-loop / measuring model output quality
