Would you like to join a team of talented student to represented School of Economics and Finance in the 2023 EDI University Business Challenge sponsored by Microsoft Embrace?

Compete, Network, Evolve

Students are given the opportunity to work on a live business challenge from Microsoft. Students will have 4 weeks to develop a solution. The submission will be a video (shot on their phones). It's a great way for students to develop skills essential to applying for roles and to work on a project to enhance interview responses.

Business Challenge Benefits:

  • The competition will be open to undergraduate students from African, Asian and Mixed heritage.

  • You will be placed in teams of 5 from SEF and compete with other students across the UK.

When will it take place?

  • Round 1 –Launch 31st October 2023 there will be a live presentation from Microsoft outlining the challenge. Links will be sent to teams to join virtually

Students will have the opportunity to join two workshops delivered virtually by Microsoft. Dates to be confirmed

  • Round 2– Semi Finals During Semester 2 - 2024 (subject to change) we are hoping to receive clearance for these to take place at the Microsoft Offices.

  • Round 3– Finals During Semester 2 - 2024 - teams will compete where one team will be announced as the winners with two teams receiving bronze and silver place.
