Pursuing a career as an Ibero-American lawyer in an international law firm in London
Clyde & Co is delighted to invite again all London-based LL.M students and alumni to their in-person seminar.
Foreign-qualified lawyers from Ibero-America, from our London office, will discuss their experience working in the U.K. for an international law firm and will provide insight on how to pursue a similar career path, as well as details on their most important lessons learned so far. Royal Society in their free event – Careers at The Interface of Science and Law.
The event will be held in person at The Royal Society, 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London and virtually on Thursday, 5th of October 2023, from 3 PM to 5 PM.
The career event is aimed at current students interested in a career in science or law. It will feature talks from professionals working in a range of areas such as patent law and regulatory affairs, exploring what they do and the pathway to do it, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A session.
This is an auxiliary session of the international science and law conference, Science in The Interests of Justice, held at the Royal Society on 3 – 4 October 2023 as part of the Science and Law programmes at the National Academy of Sciences and the Royal Society.

Gray’s Inn Bar Couse Scholarship
The Bar training course is a one-year, full-time (or two-year, part-time) course designed to introduce practical skills needed at the Bar, including advocacy, case preparation, conferencing, negotiation, and legal research. The Bar Training Course is part of the requirements to be qualified as a barrister in England & Wales.
Applications for Gray’s Inn Bar Course Scholarships are now open. This is a fantastic opportunity for students considering entering the profession to receive the recognition and financial support to fast-track their careers.
The Application Deadline is 11.59 PM Friday 3 November 2023.
During the application period for the Bar Course scholarships, Gray’s Inn holds free-to-attend online Q&A sessions. These provide the opportunity for students to hear from their interviewers and previous scholars about what to expect during the application and interview process.
The next Bar Course Scholarship Q&A session will take place on Wednesday 18 October, registration is online. Alternatively, there is another Bar Course Scholarship Q&A session on Tuesday 24 October.
