Next month Careers Service are hosting an event which will be focused on autism and getting ready to enter the world of work. The event will be delivered by auticon, please see flyer attached for more information.
The session is suitable for all autistic students and graduates, as well as anyone that self-identifies as autistic. It will cover the following topics and a full agenda can be found by clicking on the link below:
· Autism-friendly workplaces – what are they / how to identify and find them
· Interviews – How to navigate the recruitment process (how to ask for reasonable adjustments)
· Disclosure – how, when and if you should disclose your diagnosis to an employer (with examples of how to do this) and how to ask for reasonable adjustments in order to work
