Message to all 1st year students!
Hi everyone and welcome back to the university.
This week we have a PASS Session on Tuesday 24th January at 12-1pm in Arts Two: 3.16.
It is a great time to come and get some advice from 2nd and final year students about any uncertainties and worries that you might be having for Semester 2. You can even pop-in just for 10-15 minutes and have a chat with us.
Here is a reminder about what PASS is:
PASS- is a mentoring programme for 1st year students run by other students from 2nd and final years. It’s a relaxed, confidential and safe space to practise your content with your peers.
PASS holds weekly sessions to help you with study-related problems and get general advice on university life. Our goal is to help you settle into your new academic life.
WHAT CAN I GET HELP WITH?
- TIME MANAGEMENT
- EXAM PREP
- ESSAY LAYOTS AND NOTE TAKING
- MODULE RELATED QUESTIONS
- AND MUCH, MUCH MORE…
HOW WILL PASS BENEFIT ME?
- Saves you time
- Opportunity to connect with great minded people
- Learn from the people who were in the same boat as you
- Gain greater understanding in your subject
If this sounds like something that will be beneficial for you, then come to along to our sessions to chat. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me: Aleksandra Ots- ml19229@qmul.ac.uk.
Hope to see a lot of you there!
Best wishes,
Aleks.
