A free virtual event hosted on behalf of the Department for Education for anyone who has graduated and may be considering a career in teaching or is perhaps still undecided on their future career path.

Over the 45-minute session, two of our Teacher Training Advisers will explain how to get into teaching and the rewards a career in teaching can bring. Explore the skills, qualities and attributes needed for a successful career, how to choose a teacher training course and the application process. Are you a final year student considering qualifying as a solicitor or barrister?

You now have access to new careers resources as part of a collaboration between Queen Mary and BPP Law School.  

The “The Bridge Programme” is a free, online career development programme you can complete independently to help you transition to a legal training pathway. There are two programmes – Bridge to the SQE and Bridge to the Bar. Students who complete at least half of one of the Bridge Programmes will have the chance of being awarded a scholarship in 2022, which works as a fee reduction against the cost of BPP’s GDL, SQE or BTC programmes and all students who complete the programme will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.

Arts and Culture Events Associate (via Qtemps) – 31st March closing

 A unique and exciting opportunity for QM Students and recent (post 2019) QM graduates with experience of, or a strong interest in Arts and Culture. This is an opportunity to be trained in areas of venue/events management and to actively ensure the success of a range of innovative and diverse events. Successful candidates will attach a covering statement speaking of your interest in arts and cultural events to apply, along with a CV.

Pay - £11.28 p/hr, between 10-20 hrs p/week depending on events, starting 18/4 ongoing opportunities

Research Intern (Theatre Project Evaluation)

Mousetrap Theatre Projects, based in the heart of the West End, is a theatre education charity dedicated to enriching the lives of young people. We believe all young people should have the opportunity to enjoy, learn and benefit from seeing live theatre, irrespective of their cultural, social or economic background. Each year, we run a range of subsidised theatregoing programmes and Creative Learning projects, which help to make London’s incredible theatre scene accessible to young people, low-income families and mainstream and SEND state schools. We are keen for the intern to conduct a review and analysis of our existing monitoring and evaluation processes for our education and community projects, with a view to develop a more consistent approach across all projects delivered.

Gallery Assistant Intern

508 Gallery is renowned in London, focusing on contemporary art, founded by a Queen Mary alumnus. The internship allows the candidate to learn about working in a gallery environment. In return, the more senior staff get support from the intern across the project lifecycle. Established in 2012, the gallery is recognised as a leading Contemporary Art Gallery in Chelsea, London. We represent emerging artists from all around the world, with artistic styles ranging from abstract to figurative. We offer bespoke art advisory services tailored to our client's desires, helping them find the final touch for their homes and offices. In addition, the intern will assist the Managing Director with artist communication, writing press releases, curation and social media development.

Collective Arts: Visitor Experience Managers

We are looking for Visitor Experience Managers to support the running of a new immersive experience as part of UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK.

- Fixed Term: Monday 02 May - Sunday 24th July 2022. Training days followed by shift work with an average of 30 hours per week, including some weekend and evening work.
- Location: Zone 4, London
- Salary: £19.00 per hour, equating to £34,580 annual salary with full-time hours.
- Deadline: Friday 1st April 2022, with interviews planned for Monday 4th April 2022

This is a brilliant opportunity to play a pivotal role in a powerful new immersive experience that offers audiences an entirely new way of connecting with themselves and each other. The Visitor Experience Managers will be responsible for running the venue and managing the audience experience, including box office and audience safety. You will have significant experience of managing in a Front of House context and will be passionate about delivering a first-class audience experience.

Battersea Arts Centre: Digital Marketing Officer

We’re looking for a highly organised person to take the lead on content delivery ensuring the full range of projects at BAC are communicated strategically across all online platforms.

The Digital Marketing Officer will manage budgets, produce reports and work with the Ticketing & Data Officer to develop a seamless booking experience on our website. Working with the Marketing & Communications Team, this role will create marketing and sales campaigns for a diverse range of shows, events and creative projects with a focus on content delivery for BAC’s website, emails and social media channels.

Brighton's People's Theatre: Company Stage Manager

Brighton People’s Theatre is looking for a freelance Company Stage Manager to support the company through the process of bringing two research and development processes to the stage this summer.

The shows are The Songbird Cafe and Born and Bread. We are looking for a Company Stage Manager for both productions.
We are looking for someone confident to take the lead on supporting both works as our Company Stage Manager. Ideally, the person will have experience working within a co-created process. The person will have excellent interpersonal skills and will treat both professional and non-professional artists within each company with equal respect.
