Thank you to those that attended the SED alumni panel events this month. Panellists shared some fabulous career advice and insight about various exciting roles and sectors. Do watch the recordings if you couldn’t make it but are interested in teaching, scriptwriting, law, film publicity, journalism, youth theatre, copywriting, librarianship… a whole range of jobs were covered! Arts and Culture Events Associate (via Qtemps) – 31st March closing

 A unique and exciting opportunity for QM Students and recent (post 2019) QM graduates with experience of, or a strong interest in Arts and Culture. This is an opportunity to be trained in areas of venue/events management and to actively ensure the success of a range of innovative and diverse events. To apply, along with a CV, successful candidates will attach a covering statement speaking of their interest in arts and cultural events.

Pay - £11.28 p/hr, between 10-20 hrs p/week depending on events, starting 18/4 ongoing opportunities

Research Intern (Theatre Project Evaluation)

Mousetrap Theatre Projects, based in the heart of the West End, is a theatre education charity dedicated to enriching the lives of young people. We believe all young people should have the opportunity to enjoy, learn and benefit from seeing live theatre, irrespective of their cultural, social or economic background. Each year, we run a range of subsidised theatregoing programmes and Creative Learning projects, which help to make London’s incredible theatre scene accessible to young people, low-income families and mainstream and SEND state schools. We are keen for the intern to conduct a review and analysis of our existing monitoring and evaluation processes for our education and community projects, with a view to develop a more consistent approach across all projects delivered.

Application deadline: 10 April, midnight

Pay: London Living Wage, £11.05/hr for a total of 70hrs

Start: Two days a week from 6 June to 01 July 2022.

Marketing & PR Intern (Arts Management) 

The purpose of this internship is to offer marketing and PR support to the team at Abundant Art. You will work closely with the team to execute publicity and marketing campaigns for two key events including a film screening and a workshop-based performance with BA Honours students of Trinity Laban. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in arts marketing and performing arts management. Abundant Art focuses on performing arts delivered through our Artzine, workshops, performances, film making, and heritage programs. We continue to bring a thriving multi-faceted cultural and entertainment scene to our audience through our e-mag. Through our projects, we encourage understanding heritage in a contemporary context and transforming it into a living experience to the younger generation. We strive to make artistic heritage accessible and relevant to people in the most suitable way.

Pay: London Living Wage, £11.05/hr

Start: late April (5 weeks, two days a week)
