Hi all

We have two great careers events coming up THIS WEEK that I’d love you to attend.

Firstly, book onto our exclusive SED alumni careers panel – The Next Chapter: SED English Alumni Careers Event – on Thursday 3rd March at 5.30pm.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn about different sectors/ roles, make connections, and have your questions answered in an informal online setting. We have some fantastic panellists:

  • Tomiwa Owolade - graduated with a BA in English in 2018, went on to study an MA in English at UCL and is now a Writer, Critic and Contributing Editor at Unherd
  • Nikita Saini- graduated with a BA in English in 2012, went on to complete a GDL, LPC, LLM at The University of Law and is now a Solicitor for Axis Capital
  • Tasha Mathurgraduated in 2014 with a BA in English and now works as a Picture Editor at Sky UK.
  • Phoenix Alexander - graduated with a BA in English in 2012, went on to a Masters in English in 2013 and PhD in English and African American Studies at Yale in 2019. Now works as a Science Fiction Collections Librarian at University of Liverpool.
  • Elliott Daley - graduated with a BA in English and Drama 2007 and is now an Author, Actor, Playwright, Director, Poet and Teacher at V&A, Olympics, Lyric Theatre, Brit School and TedX
