There are some great careers workshops and events coming up including SED alumni panels – please do book into our friendly and supportive sessions. There are also some fantastic theatre jobs/internships currently accepting applications – a great way to get some work experience and your foot in the door!

Events and Workshops: Live online panel discussion of SED alumni working in a range of exciting sectors. This event will give you the opportunity to hear their journey and experiences across a broad range of careers, as well as advice and tips for entering their sectors.

Arts admin intern, Theatre Peckham | part-time | flexible start from March onwards 

Before starting the internship, you will be invited to express what areas interest you and the organisation will endeavour to match these with current projects or areas of work that are taking place at the time. Each role will be designed to reflect the needs of the student and will be discussed with each successful candidate. This internship is on a voluntary basis and it takes place in a registered charity - deadline 20th February

Academy Production Intern, Theatre Peckham | part-time | June 2022 start

The purpose of this internship is to provide a learning opportunity to the intern by providing support to the production team whilst the theatre is hosting shows as part of the National Theatre’s Connections Festival. Theatre Peckham (TP) is a cultural flagship venue that champions artistic excellence and supports young people (YP), particularly those from low economic backgrounds to engage with the arts - deadline 20th February

Extant Theatre: Assistant Administrator - Extant is looking for a can-do, enthusiastic, and organised person to support the administrative functions of our theatre company, which is currently undergoing an exciting period of transformation.
The Assistant Administrator (part-time, 2 days/week) will provide support across Extant’s projects and productions, general office, and marketing and communications.
Location: Currently home working, with switch to hybrid working once moved to our new home in Brixton (Estimated spring 2022)
Pay: £22,000 per annum (pro rata)

Punchdrunk: Company Coordinator - We are seeking a Company Coordinator to join the Punchdrunk Enrichment team. The right candidate will have a proactive attitude, strong communication skills and a passion for organisation and accuracy.
The role is pivotal to the effective running of the organisation. They are responsible for co-ordinating the smooth running of the premises, office systems, and key teams. The candidate will be proactive, unphased by a diverse and wide-reaching work load and comfortable forming relationships with a range of contractors and suppliers
Salary: £25,000 per annum

Punchdrunk: Stage Door Staff

Punchdrunk is seeking a pool of proactive and resourceful Stage Door staff with great people skills to act as the first point of contact on the premises of our next project, The Burnt City. As a team the Stage Door staff will open and close the building, managing the stage door during all building opening hours including during the show run. They will be the welcoming face of the company, providing a warm and helpful first point of contact for all staff and performers, contractors and visitors.

Salary: £11.05 (London Living Wage)
Contract:
Fixed-term contract, various hours available
