Hi everyone! 

A quick round up of some interesting opportunities. 


Campaigns Assistant, Ebury (part of Penguin Random House) - deadline 20th June. The Ebury imprint is the UK's largest dedicated non-fiction book publisher, home to authors including Yotam Ottolenghi and David Attenborough. This role is in the marketing and publicity team, and does not require previous experience in publishing. 


Graduate Scheme: Policy Assistants, Green Alliance - deadline 3rd August. Charity and think tank Green Alliance is looking for the next generation of environmental leaders; this role will help those new to the sector gain insight, knowledge and skills whilst contributing to Green Alliance's projects and advocacy programme. 


Colorintech Online Immersion Programme 2021 - deadline 20th June.

Colorintech Immersion Programme brings the brightest QMUL students from underrepresented backgrounds to explore what it's like to enter and thrive in the tech and innovation economy across a range of roles, such as business, marketing, finance, technical roles such as Software Engineering or aspire to set up their own business. 

We welcome applications from students who self-identify as least one of the following: Ethnic minority, Women and Non-binary, LGBTQIA +, Bursary holders, Disability (including mental health conditions).

Last year the programme included sessions with Google Deep Mind, Microsoft and LinkedIn as well as high impact learning sessions with Colorintech’s experienced & well connected team. Read more about their experience here.

When? Week Commencing 6 September 2021, participants must be available 10-5pm each day.

Stand Out is a brand new programme powered by One Million Mentors and UpRising UK, which is specifically designed to help you develop your skills, expand your network, explore your career options and ultimately find a job. 

Join the Stand Out programme and you’ll benefit from:

●        Training for one month via a curated programme of online sessions

●        Mentoring for one year; receive 1:1 personal development and career support 

●        Connecting to diverse coaches, tutors, and experts, from a range of industries

●        Socialising with other job seekers, able to share tips and advice

UpRising and One Million Mentors have supported 500 young people through our employability and mentoring programme, so we know what works!

●        77% gained a job or were in education/ training within 6 months of completion. 

●        97% told us the programme increased their confidence, networks and skills.

 

Start date: 26 July 2021.
