The application deadline is in 3 weeks.
To help you with your application, QM Careers have arranged the following event, this week – SIGN UP NOW by clicking on the link below:
Civil Service Fast Stream Application Tips – Friday 2nd October, 17:00-18:00 This session will provide an in-depth run through on the application process for the Civil Service Fast Stream and all other streams as they use the same requirement process (applications open from 24 September 2020). Current Fast Streamers will tell you what to expect from the different stages, such as the online test, worked based scenarios and the assessment centre. You will get tips and time to ask any questions you may have. Watch out for a mock assessment centre in October!
Some Top Tips for your Civil Service Applications:
- Finalists can apply to the FastStream AND the Summer Diversity Internships (if eligible)
- 2nd years can apply to the Summer Diversity Internships (if eligible)
- 1st years – can only apply to the Early Diversity Internship programme (if eligible), which is just one week paid
- The FastStream has 15 different ‘streams’, you can select your top 4 options.
- For all programmes, the Civil Service recruitment team give you a huge amount of help and information on the website – USE IT!! They tell you what they are looking for at each stage and include links to two documents (Behaviours) and (Strengths) which give further details… really immerse yourself in these so that you understand what criteria they are recruiting for.
- DO NOT RUSH YOUR APPLICATION - there are no prizes for applying on day one... do your research, preparation and practice.
- Join the QM Civil Service event detailed above
- The QM Careers website has some fantastic resources to help you practise psychometric tests and to practise interview skills and video interviews in particular
- Applications to the internship programme do the same tests as the FastStream, so you need to prepare equally thoroughly.
Good luck!
