Yes thanks for the input. While proposing the study I always had in mind the natural extension of this study would be to include the carers. However, I felt to include the carers in the interview itself may affect the honesty of the answers, especially as some of the questions refer to the family members and carers themselves. Alternatively, the interview could be conducted at a different time and place but as mentioned I thought this would be very time-consuming, and would depend on time, resources etc. Though this data would no doubt be of great value.
