School visitors are welcomed into IWM London by volunteers who can enhance the experience of our schools and make their day impactful and memorable.

Customer Experience Volunteer, IWM London

The Imperial War Museums are looking to expand our team of long term volunteers to help with our customer welcome at IWM London.  Customer Experience Volunteers provide an extra level of service to our visitors providing additional way-finding and historical information about this extraordinary site.

Warship Conservation Volunteer, HMS Belfast

Developed in conjunction with our Conservation Team this is an exciting opportunity to help us preserve HMSBelfast for future generations.

The National Trust at Sutton House, Hackney have been in touch again, looking for volunteers to offer just a few days of their time.  Sounds like a perfect opportunity for students with a little free time before Christmas. If you read the role description via the link, you will see that although this is an interactive role, they are keen to have students with an interest in all things historical.

Are you a lover of all thing Christmas? Do you enjoy acting, playful interactions with people and participating in fun events? Then this is perfect role for you.

"Your students were absolutely fab last time and we’d love to have as many as possible helping to bring to  life our Christmas festivities.

We are looking for Christmas Character volunteers to help us entertain families and adults who come to the house over Christmas- this would include telling stories, acting in role and encouraging our visitors to interact with the Twelve days of Christmas experience we have happening all over the house."

CITIZEN UK  - COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP TRAINING - various dates

Develop the skills to be a leader and make things happen!

Tower Hamlets Citizens is offering Community Leadership Training for Queen Mary students. We teach the tools and skills of community organising which have helped to transform our city and nation through campaigns such as the Real Living Wage, Affordable Housing; Refugees Welcome; Mental Health; Affordable Credit etc

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the skills and techniques behind these successful campaigns. Training is FREE, open to all students, involves 6 hours of learning and the opportunity to participate in local social justice campaigns. You will learn about

·      Power

·      Negotiation

·      Qualities of leadership

·      Team leadership

·      Self-interest

·      How to run a successful campaign

Each cohort will consist of TWO 3-hour sessions, which will be held on separate dates. Book Workshop 1 and Workshop 2 on suitable dates as advertised.
