hello all,

well the DSM5 seems to have changed it's mind about phantom cell phone vibrations being a disease (at this point)

Hi David! I've heard about this and it seems fascinating. In tenuous relation to this I thought I'd mention that in the last few years I've started to experience a phenomenon where I'll hear a sound, such as a spoon touched against the rim of a cup, and sometimes I'll be convinced that it sounds exactly like a couple of notes from a popular mobile phone ringtone... I then listen to the ringtone and to my astonishment it's the same sound... could this mark the beginnings of the acquisition of perfect pitch through exposure to ringtones? Or is that just wishful thinking?
