5.8. Late submissions


As outlined in the QMUL Assessment Handbook 2025-26 (5.70, page 28) the following penalties will be applied for late submissions via QMplus or the Alternative Submission email (se-eecs-student-submission@qmul.ac.uk) for Method 1 exams only:

  1. Submissions up to 10 minutes late:

    • A 10% deduction will be applied to the total marks available.
    • Example: If a student scores 65% but submits late, their final score will be reduced to 55%.

  2. Submissions more than 10 minutes late:

    • These will be treated as non-submissions.
    • The final grade for the exam will be zero (0 F).
