Your Student Union has put together some resources to help you enrol to vote; to set up postal voting and how to vote on their website. Like them, the School of Geography is heavily encouraging you to register (if you haven't already!) so you are not denied your rights to have your say on the decisions that affect you the most - especially now with the increasing likelihood of a snap general election!
YouthMappers (https://www.youthmappers.org) is an international network of university based groups who respond to the need of humanitarian, disaster relief and development organizations for accurate and detailed maps of areas where people are vulnerable or in immediate need of help. YouthMappers use open source mapping software and help create digital OpenStreetMaps that are vital to humanitarian relief efforts or for addressing development challenges.
We will be working on high-priority mapping projects requested by the Red Cross and MSF. All are welcome to take part. You do not need to have any mapping experience or to bring any equipment to take part.
