      The Academy of Clinical Educators was created to help promote community for our educators and to provide clinicians with the opportunity to interact with and learn from one another. As part of the Academy, you will have access to a professional network, and have opportunities for continuing professional development. You will also have access to events tailored to Clinical Educators where you will be able to network with fellow NHS partner educators and QMUL staff. 

      This webpage will be the hub for all information pertaining the clinical educators and what is on offer within the Academy. This includes the Professional Development opportunities available including opportunities for one-on-one coaching and access to Queen Mary Academy resources. The FMD Academy of Clinical Educators will provide access providing to induction for all teachers with up-to-date information on the curriculum and expectations of teaching on placement. The benefits of joining us in the Academy of Clinical Educators include the following: 

      • Access to a CPD opportunities, including an online series covering the basics of medical education, masterclasses in clinical education and in-person events focused on updates, exchange of good practice and networking.  
      • Access to our suite of credit bearing medical and clinical education courses, both in-person and online.  
      • Members of the Academy will be entitled to access to QMUL library and other educational resources. 
      • Recognition of your formal contribution to QMUL, in terms of support in the application for honorary academic contracts. 
      • Providing a template for appraisal of educational activities, useful for NHS appraisal and revalidation. 

      We will also use this central hub to gather your feedback on areas of improvement. Please participate by filling out the survey below and letting us know what kind of resources and events you would like to see hosted by the Faculty. Please encourage colleagues to get in touch if they should be or would like to be included.
