Exam Timetable
Your examination timetable is published on MySIS. It will indicate the date, location (whether physical venue or online), and your assigned seat number for the exam.
It is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with the dates, times, and venues of your exams, to review your personal timetable for any possible errors or omissions, and to stay updated on any amendments to the full examination schedule on the MySIS portal.
Should you encounter any issues with your timetable, please contact the Exams Team promptly via email: exams@qmul.ac.uk

Familiarise yourself with the Academic Misconduct Policy & Academic Regulations
If you don't follow guidelines properly, it could lead to an academic misconduct investigation. This can be a lengthy process, potentially affecting progression to the next year of your course, starting internships that rely on your grades. There could also be visa implications or delays to your graduation. All of which we want to help you avoid. -
This is a trial environment optional for students to practice online assessment submissions to prepare themselves for exams. This is to allow students to get used to using the technology, and the content may not be what you will see in the exam.
If you would like to practice the process of uploading submission for an online assessment, please access this submission point within the mentioned period. Students will be given feedback on whether the submission has been successful, or students can email us at maths@qmul.ac.uk to check.
This trial environment is available for a period of 2 hours, within which you must submit your file.
You may log out and in again during that time, but the countdown timer will not stop. If your attempt is still in progress at the end of the set time slot, any answers you have filled will be automatically submitted.

If for unplanned or unexpected reasons you’re not able to complete an assessment, then you’re able to use Queen Mary’s Extenuating Circumstances (EC) process. If your EC is accepted, you will be given an opportunity to sit the exam in the next available opportunity.
QMUL’s definition of Extenuating Circumstances (ECs) are:
- Circumstances that are outside a student’s control which may have a negative impact on a student’s ability to undertake and submit an assessment by the required and published time.
Examples of Valid ECs
Examples of Invalid ECs
Usually personal or health problems, including emotional wellbeing and mental health and your physical health.
ECs do not include computer problems, (IT issues) misreading your exam timetable, planned holidays or events, or local transport delays.
You can either submit up to three self-certified EC’s per year, which covers a 7-day period and you do not need to provide any evidence for, or alternatively, submit a standard claim, where you will need to provide proof, e.g. a medical letter, as to why you would like to claim. This will then be discussed under the policy to see if this will be accepted.
Here please find the EC guide below along with all the relevant EC deadlines for your reference.
