Module description
This class introduces emerging forms of accounting around Social and Environmental aspects, developed by organizations to answer the increasing societal demands for accountability with regard to the ecological crisis and social justice. This class covers both practical and theoretical aspects of Social and Environmental accounting, that students are invited to discovers through various examples.
Organisation of
module
This module is organized around flip-classes, that is that before any classes, you will be asked to watch lectures video and eventually read some of the material posted on QMULPlus. Sessions will be divided in two parts. During the first hours, you will have opportunity to ask clarifications about the material watched beforehand. In the second part of the class you will start working with your group (5 people) in a virtual room on the weekly activity. You will be asked to produce either a video or a writing summary about the weekly activity, for which you will receive group feedback every two weeks, in accordance with the criteria assessed for the final essay.
