Welcome to the online induction area for the QM Academy taught programmes: Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP) and Certificate in Learning and Teaching (CILT)!

There are 3 types of change of circumstances that are available to you:
1. Interruption - http://www.arcs.qmul.ac.uk/students/study/interrupting/
2. Withdrawal - http://www.arcs.qmul.ac.uk/students/study/withdrawing/
3. Change of Programme - http://www.arcs.qmul.ac.uk/students/study/changing-programme/
Process
- If you are intending to interrupt, withdraw or change programme, please complete the relevant form and submit it to the Taught Programmes team at adp@qmul.ac.uk
- Once a change of circumstance request has been processed, an automated email will be sent to your institution email address. This will confirm that the change has been processed.
- Should the Student Records team have queries regarding the information listed on any form you have submitted, they may be in contact to request further details.
Last Date of Attendance
- An interruption or withdrawal of studies will require you to provide a last date of attendance; this is the last date you attended a lecture/seminar for your course.
Interruption of Studies
- An interruption of studies will require you to provide an expected return date. Please be aware that Interruption of Study Policy does not permit students/participants to interrupt and return within the same academic year. (http://www.arcs.qmul.ac.uk/media/arcs/policyzone/academic/Interruption-of-Study-Policy.pdf)
- The academic year runs from mid-September to the end of May, therefore you would not be able to interrupt your studies from September to January of the same academic year.
Change of Programme
- If you wish to change programme from the Certificate in Learning and Teaching (CILT) to the PGCAP, then you will need to complete a change of programme form. Please submit this to adp@qmul.ac.uk, and you will be asked to provide a reference confirming your eligibility for PGCAP.
- Please note that you will be unable to change programme after the Subject Examination Board has awarded you the Certificate in Learning and Teaching. Participants will need to make a new application through admissions for the PGCAP and then the CILT certificate will need to be revoked/destroyed in order for PGCAP to be awarded.
