      How to Gain Professional Experience (Including Placement Year)

      • Description: Learn how to gain valuable professional experience during your studies, including tips on securing a placement year. This session will cover key steps to enhance your employability and make the most of available opportunities. Particularly relevant to Y1 and Y2 students.

      • Description: You will be provided with an overview of diverse career paths and practical guidance on skills, further study, and job opportunities.

      Speed Networking Event

      • Date: 28th October, 4:00 PM
      • Location: Octagon
      • Description: A fast-paced networking session designed to connect you with potential mentors, employers, and peers. Build your professional network in a dynamic, engaging setting. Relevant to ALL students.

      Placements Networking Event

      • Date: 3rd December
      • Location: Scape Canalside TR2
      • Description: Connect with peers who completed a placement successfully and learn more about placement opportunities. This event is a great chance to network and find out tips for improving your placement applications. Particularly relevant to Y1 and Y2 students.

    • Other Career Management & Support Sessions  

      • The Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust came together on Thursday 9th May 2024 to host a webinar for aspiring psychological professionals on applying for early career psychology roles in the NHS.       • Tower Hamlets Educational Psychology (EP) Services are holding their online event "Meet the EP" on the 22nd of October. It is an opportunity for those interested in a career in Educational Psychology to hear about how EPs work in Tower Hamlets and access information about applying for Doctoral Training. To be added to the attendance list and receive the TEAMS link please email your expression of interest to admin.eps@towerhamlets.gov.uk with your name and email address by 20th of October.
