The course aims to introduce graduate students to the key insights from research in "Behavioural
Finance". It is designed to provide an overview of an emerging body of literature that attempts to
understand the effect of cognitive bias and social psychology on asset valuation and hence pricing.
Behavioural finance recognises that investor behaviour is not necessarily driven by rational
considerations but by several aspects of human psychology
