This module will address the concept of vulnerability via focusing on: (a) war affected children/youth groups and forcibly displaced families, (b) children and young adolescents with mental health risks at schools, (c) women and other victims of gender-based violence, and (d) employees at risk.
A range of topics around vulnerability will be discussed such as adversity and resilience, risk and protective factors, children, youth and adult safeguarding, inclusion and diversity, participatory research, and effective interventions. Multi-cultural and inter-professional approaches will be discussed to enhance student competencies for supporting and working with/for vulnerable individuals.
