IMPORTANT MODULE INFORMATION
Brief description about this module:
This is a rigorous first module in linear algebra. The ideas introduced in the first year module Vectors and Matrices for two- and three-dimensional space will be developed and extended in a more general setting with a view to applications in subsequent pure and applied mathematics, probability and statistics modules. There will be a strong geometric emphasis in the presentation of the material and the key concepts will be illustrated by examples from various branches of mathematics. The module contains a fair number of proofs.
The primary learning outcome in this module is that you will think about learning as a mindset and a process - it has no end point.
