The purpose of our first meeting is to get you thinking about the 3 puzzle assignment, and for you to ask any questions you might have so far about the module
For the 3 puzzle assignment you need to select 3 puzzles from those given out weekly (check the rules in the syllabus) and submit them for assessment in April after taking into account all feedback, both individualised and general, provided by me throughout the module.
By the time our individual meeting takes place, you will already have general feedback on puzzles 1 and 2 (and personalised feedback on puzzle 1 if you turned in for feedback).
Specific issues to discuss include:
-how to choose a puzzle for assessment
-how to take feedback on board to improve your chosen puzzle
-understanding the question(s) the puzzle asks
-making sure your arguments and proposals are
explicit and thorough
It is up to you which of these (or others) to discuss and in what depth/level of detail, which will depend on your needs.
To prepare, make sure you have read all the feedback I’ve provided, and choose the issues (from those listed above, or others) you want to get guidance on.
