The School of Geography welcomes Associate students on most of its Undergraduate modules.

Any queries about taking our modules should be addressed to geog-overseas@qmul.ac.uk

What does the 'Availability' information mean?

Many of our modules do not have any pre-requisites and are available to any Associate student, however some of our modules may require permission from the module convenor.

Available

These modules are open to applications from Associate students, and do not have any pre-requisites or require approval from the Module Convenor.

If there is space on the module, applications will be accepted.

Not Available

Some of our modules are not available to Associate students. These include

  • Our modules which include a compulsory residential overseas field trip.  These are available to our home students only.
  • Our first-year Geography Sustainable Transitions module, which provides core training for all QMUL Geography and Environmental Science Undergraduates.
  • Our second-year Research Methods modules which provide training and preparation for the final year dissertation.
  • Our third-year (Level 6) Dissertation module which is a year-long compulsory module for our Geography and Environmental Science students.

These modules are important milestones in our Degree Programmes, and so would not be accessible for visitors who may not have had the same training within the School. There is no need to be disheartened, though – you will almost certainly be able to find another module on a similar topic that is available!
