MA Theatre and Performance
Over the course of a Masters programme in the School of English and Drama, all students complete 180 credits of assessed modules (including a Dissertation or Practice-based Dissertation worth 60 credits). Read the information on this page to understand the requirements and elective options for full-time and part-time students taking this MA programme/pathway.
Compulsory/Core modules
- Body, Action, Documentation (DRA7012)
- Culture, Ethics, Politics (DRA7011)
- Performance, Activism, Social Justice (DRA7013)
- Dissertation (DRA7000) OR Practice-based Dissertation (DRA7711)
Elective Drama modules
Programme Requirements
Full-time students take:
- Body, Action, Documentation (DRA7012) and Culture, Ethics, Politics (DRA7011) in semester one.
- Performance, Activism, Social Justice (DRA7013) and ONE elective module in semester two, typically Text, Self, Performance (DRA7014)
- Choose between Dissertation (DRA7000) or Practice-based Dissertation (DRA7711), which you will complete over the summer and submit in August
