If you allow students to take optional study modules outside the school/institute, you are advised to include at least some summary details in the handbook, or to refer students to a source of further information.
Optional studies may include:
Modules in other departments at Queen Mary
Modules at other UK institutions
Time spent on industrial or professional placements
The optional studies section need only contain information specific to your school/institute, and should not include compulsory external study modules (e.g. integral year abroad or in industry)
