2.1 Forum Activity: Virtual Elevator Pitch

Aim: Make a Quick Virtual Elevator Pitch to practice your Self Marketing strategies.
You may already be familiar with the concept of an elevator pitch as a form of self marketing. An elevator pitch is a 30 second sales pitch. The challenge is to sell yourself or a concept to a stranger standing next to you in the time it takes to go to the top floor of a building in an elevator, or lift.
Step 1: Reflect. Take a moment to think about the question ‘Why should recruiters hire you?’
Step 2: Pitch. Note down your unique strengths, skills and experience in a quick ‘Elevator Pitch’ to share with your fellow students
Step 3: Share and Discuss. Post your Elevator Pitch in the forum, share and respond to others. Read the elevator pitches shared by other students and provide some constructive comments.
