1.1 Forum Discussion: Your Career Goals
Aim: To share careers goals and objectives and gain wider perspectives from your fellow students
As an ice-breaker activity, we would like you to use the Discussion Forum to introduce yourself and share your knowledge about the jobs that interest you in Economics and Finance. You will be working alongside students from around the world with varied backgrounds and careers interests. We hope you will find it useful to network and share experiences from the start, and throughout your postgraduate studies.
Step 1: Introduce yourself and post a message to the forum with your own response to the following questions:
Why did you choose to study for an MSc?
What jobs/careers might you enjoy?
What companies might you want to work for?
What did you want to be when you were 8 years old?
Step 2: Respond. Once you have introduced yourself, respond to the replies of at least two other students
Step 3: Discuss. Take the conversation about careers goals further and discuss careers topics that interest you with fellow students.
