Please note that the Topic 2 Primary Health Care, Theory and Practice seminar task has been amended. To prepare for your seminars next week for this module, you now need to:

Prepare 300 words on a patient or family in your practice (or known to you). Consider how their complex needs are met (or not) through an ongoing therapeutic relationship with a primary care clinician. If you prefer, prepare and argument that an ongoing therapeutic relationship would not add value to the case example you have chosen. Be prepared to defend your position in a group discussion. Alternatively, if you do not yet have experience as a clinician, consider the case of a patient you have enocuntered in a past student attachment. With reference to the literature on the benefits of continuity of care, prepare a very brief account of this patient and how you believe a high-quality therapeutic relationship and continuity of care would be particularly beneficial to them.
