Preparing for tomorrow’s pitch

Dear All

In preparation for tomorrow’s pitch to composers please keep in mind the following:

1. They need to get an overall idea of the story - keep this simple. What is the story about? Who is the main character? What happens to them? How does it end? DO NOT READ a page of synopsis to them. They will not understand. Tell the story like you are telling you friend over coffee.

2. The genre and tone. This is very important for the composer to know. Illustrate this with an image, a reference of another film and even some music you have in mind even a clip or a teaser.

3. You have 3mins so don’t get lost in the details of the story. You will be able to share your screen so have the documents you wish to share ready. They will have time to ask questions on anything they want mor information.

If you feel you want to read something then write your story in 5 lines that includes the beginning, the middle and the end. So the story is a little bit lj get than the log line.

Hope this makes sense. See you tomorrow on Zoom
