Please read this email carefully. As you are completing your dissertation topic surveys, please remember that we have a list of supervisors and their research expertise that you can consult to see who might be able to supervise your work. It is on the Dissertation module page on QMPlus and can be accessed here.
I've had a few emails from people wishing to go 'off-list', i.e., reaching out to people not on this list. While you are very welcome to ask people for advice and even to supervise you, please bear in mind that people not on this list have not said yes to supervising responsibilities (so they may say no to you), and also that they may not have experience of supervising postgraduate dissertations. Your first port of call should therefore be the above list. You should absolutely not put the name of someone not on the list down in your topic survey if you have not already contacted them and they have agreed to supervise you.
