Dear PLE Module Students,
It was lovely to meet you yesterday and to get started with our PLE work. I am confident we will do good work together this term.
Please keep an eye on your QMUL emails for calendar invites to your client meeting next week. Remember that there are templates on QM+ for you to use to prepare for the client meeting and to memorialise what is discussed during the meeting. You are asked to upload the client meeting memo to QM+ as an assignment. Eliza will join you for your client meetings, but you are expected to take the lead. Please record the meetings for students who are unable to attend (including Sarah and Irem and Anuj’s future teammates).
When we meet in class next week, we will spend time discussing how to research your topics and how to prepare for your solicitor meetings. Please rest assured that your role in the solicitor meetings is primarily to share what your clients are asking for and to ask your solicitors for guidance on how to do your research and what topics to include.
