Deadline:

All assessments are due at 1pm. Late penalties apply immediately after the deadline.

How to submit your assignment on QMPlus:

Click on the relevant assignment link available on the ‘Assessment Information’ tab of this module.

You will be taken to a page that allows you to upload your assignment.  Your assignment must be either Word or PDF format, but we highly recommend using Word. A link to free Office 365 software can be found below.

Once you have uploaded your assignment and you are sure it is your final version, click on the submit assignment button.

After submission you must return to the assignment page to check that the status is ‘submitted for grading’.  It is important that you do this to ensure that you assignment has not accidentally been left at a status of ‘Draft not submitted’.

The Turnitin receipt gives the time of uploading your assignment not the time of submission, evidence of the submission date and time is shown on QMPlus.

Coversheet for assignments:

Please make sure you use a coversheet for your assignment, as this enables us to provide structured feedback. If you have been given a coversheet from the Disability and Dyslexia Service (DDS), ensure that you upload this.

Extenuating Circumstances:

If you are unable to submit your assignment by the specified deadline due to extenuating circumstances, you should submit your claim either before the deadline or as soon as possible after the deadline.  Full information on applying for extenuating circumstances is available here. Please note IT issues and submitting the wrong version of an assignment, are not acceptable grounds for applying for ECs.

Late Penalties:

Assignments submitted late (except if there are approved extenuating circumstances) will have 5 marks deducted for each 24-hour period, or part thereof, after the deadline. This means a late penalty will apply immediately after the deadline. An assignment submitted 7 days (168 hours) or more after the deadline will receive a mark of zero (0FL).  Provisional marks released on QMPlus show marks before any late penalty is applied; adjusted marks can be seen on MySIS.
