After our successful sessions on Essay and Academic writing, we are presenting a highly requested session this coming week, on Essay Skills focusing on (Critical Analysis)

Let's be real. Essay skills are something you'll need throughout your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years, so gaining more knowledge in this area will benefit you heavily.


When and Where?


  •  MONDAY 20th November (TODAY) – 12pm-1pm – Room: Peter Landin - PL301
  • TUESDAY 21st November (TOMORROW) - 12pm-1pm - Room: Bancroft 1.01.1


Details:


Our mentors are ready to share their top tips, including:

  • Understanding relevant and irrelevant content for your essay
  • Understanding HOW to COMPARE sources
  •  Structuring your essay, recapping; Introduction, Main Bodies and Conclusion
  • Understanding how our "OWN" opinions come into play.
  • Evaluating the reliability of sources
  • Focusing on critical analysis – how to structure and phrase critical analysis sentences

Please note: This will be an IN-PERSON session, but it will also be recorded. However, we highly recommend attending in person.
